Three people were injured in Naples due to the collapse of the attic of a house in Vico della Pace, in the Forcella district. Firefighters and several state police vehicles intervened on the scene. According to initial reconstructions, the cause of the collapse was the explosion of a gas cylinder in a room on the ground floor of Vico San Nicola ai Casati, below a four-storey building accessed from Vico della Pace. As far as is known, the three injured, who were pulled alive from the rubble and taken to hospital for their burns, are not in a serious condition. In the meantime, the evacuation of the eight families living in the building in the centre of Naples has been ordered.
Currently, in the evacuated building, there are still three people, with walking difficulties, waiting for the installation of a footbridge to facilitate traffic. The firefighters are operating on site, the civil protection of the municipality of Naples, the police and the 118 are also present.
