Built in the second half of the 16th century at the request of Cardinal Fulvio della Corgna, a specialist in literature and the arts, the Villa del Colle del Cardinale is the most prestigious of Umbria's historic residences.
A summer residence on a hilltop near Perugia, surrounded by a 13-hectare park, with a sixteenth-century plan, but transformed over the centuries according to the romantic taste, which still today has great scientific importance for its variety and the richness of its rare botanical species, so much so that it is the subject of studies by the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Perugia.
