There are few new features in the new world tennis rankingpublished today by the ATP, after a week devoted almost exclusively to the Davis Cup and Jannik Sinner is firmly in charge.
Sinner is No. 1 for the 15th consecutive time, the first Italian to win two Grand Slam singles titles in a single season, the Australian Open and the US Open, and the first player since Guillermo Vilas (1977) to win his first two career Majors in the same season.
