Mottarone massacre, compensation of more than 3 million euros for little Eitan: “Now he can get out of the trial”

An agreement has been reached providing total compensation of more than three million euros for Eitan Biran, the only nine-year-old child to survive the Mottarone cable car massacre. In January, the child, assisted by lawyer Fabrizio Ventimiglia, became a civil party in the trial of the accident of May 23, 2021 during which 14 people died, including the father, mother and great-grands -maternal parents of the child. Tomorrow, February 27, during the second preliminary hearing in Verbania, the request for civil party status will be withdrawn, thus eliminating the child from the trial. “I am very happy with this result, which fully satisfies us – explains the lawyer from Ventimiglia – Leitner and Reale Mutua have offered an important contribution to guarantee a peaceful future from an economic point of view for Eitan”. Ferrovie del Mottarone, the company that managed the factory, also offered compensation. For the lawyer “Eitan had to get out of this affair as quickly as possible, and that’s what he did. Without a doubt, no amount of compensation can ever restore what was taken from him in the face of this enormous tragedy. But now, surrounded by the affection of all his parents and friends, he will be able to concentrate solely on his own life path, staying away from courtrooms, trying to close this very painful parenthesis in his life. , looking toward the future with a carefreeness and serenity that should never be lacking in a child's childhood.”
