Luana Ravegnini and her love story with Claudio Lippi: “He left me but for the newspapers I was the bad one”

*Luana Ravegnini was for years a host at Lunch is served and good price. Then he directed Leave or Raddoppia? and Formula 1 and made films with Christian De Sica and Neri Parenti. In 2021 she returned to work on television on Check-up on Raidue. “I lived in London for ten years, I followed my husband who had received an interesting job offer there. I gave priority to family, I wanted my daughter to grow up with her father by her side. It was a sacrifice: I lived in a wonderful city that, despite the wonder, could not fill the void left by the lack of my friends, my parents, Rome, from which I missed everything. But I did not regret it, especially because my daughter received an extraordinary open-mindedness from it,” she explains today in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

The modest family

Yet she was already working at 21: “I come from a modest family, my father is a bus driver, my mother is a housewife. Already at the age of 15, when I was studying to become a dental technician, I worked in the afternoons in a dentist's office to help around the house. In families where there are more problems, there is more predisposition to understand sacrifice and I rolled up my sleeves. But at 21, in a difficult situation, I was very precarious.” Then I landed on TV: “An aunt who was a former model suggested I take a posture course, to learn how to put on makeup and walk. I did it myself, without thinking that anything would come of it. But one day, agents came looking for models and they chose me too. I was offered the first fashion shows, the first commercials, I started with auditions. How many did I do… Little by little, I found myself at a crossroads: go to university or continue working until I could earn a little money and postpone my studies. I made the most pragmatic choice. Then Renzo Arbore arrived.”

Coccodè Girl

Ravegnini started out as a cuddly girl at Indietro tutto: “There I learned how important improvisation is. I was 18, it was like living in a dream: I was a simple girl who entered a world of glitter, sequins, great characters. They went from Rossano Brazzi to Massimo Troisi…”. But the story that made her the most talked about in the newspapers was her love affair with Claudio Lippi, Mediaset presenter at the time and who worked on Il Lunch is Served: “At the time it was very popular. I had been his valet in Le déjeuner est servi and there had never been anything between us, but when he went to Tmc, he called me, I went to work with him in Milan and Milan was in prison. We were together for seven years.”

Love with Claudio Lippi

Her love affair with Claudio Lippi ended with the announcement to Ansa of “a painful and painful separation”. Miriana remembers today: “We had different expectations of life, he already had a family behind him, two daughters, I had no children and he decided that, for my own good, it was better that we separate, but the opposite happened in the newspapers, that I had left him and made him suffer. I never wanted to rectify it, I said to myself: let them think what I want.” After Lippi, “several suitors came forward, but I was disappointed and wanted to be alone. Then I met my husband.” He is Renato Della Valle, a former offshore champion, former partner of Silvio Berlusconi at Telepiù, a real estate developer, 26 years her senior.

The age difference

“He had read my interviews and thought I must be a nice person. I had opened a restaurant to have a fixed point, because in entertainment there is work today, there is no tomorrow. Anyway, in the evening I was there, obviously I was not in the kitchen, I did what I did best, Professor Renato, when he learned that I was single, started coming every evening. He courted me like crazy, I resisted for six months, but even an elephant would have collapsed,” Trevisan recalls. The age difference never mattered: “I look like the older one, I'm excessively monotonous, boring in some ways, I'll never go out, I don't like social life. And I've always had older men, maybe because my father married very young and I've always lacked a protective figure. We got married in 2008, I wanted it, I wanted it, but he – already separated – didn't want it. We had a very intimate wedding, I don't like pomp. There was only mom, her sister, my parents and Adele who brought the rings.”

Fit at 55

On TV, Trevisan explains that “Raidue decided to propose a health show again and the last show I hosted was about health, so they thought of me.” Finally, he explains how he manages to be so fit at 55: “I always eat healthily, I only eat a carbonara from time to time, I sleep, I don't go out in the evening. I read a lot of scientific literature on active longevity and I follow all the advice I find there.”
