Tragedy in Nettuno, on the Lazio coast, where a 49-year-old Bulgarian citizen on a scooter fled from a checkpoint and crashed into a passing car. He was thrown from the saddle and died instantly. He was traveling at very high speed to escape the police at the start of the afternoon. The vehicle he was in with his 12-year-old son was later discovered stolen. During the chase, depending on what the daily event, father and son also allegedly threw a helmet at the police car in an attempt to slow down the police officers' speed. The man who was driving died instantly, while the boy was taken to Bambino Gesù Hospital and his life is not in danger. The motorist who was driving the other vehicle was also rescued, in shock but unhurt.
