China wants to become guarantor

Palestinian Political Forces in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Fatah is a secular organization founded in 1959. by Yasser Arafat, a Palestinian political leader who would become a leading figure on the world political scene. The aim is to support the armed conflict against Israel and the birth of an independent Palestinian state.

Fatah established the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1964. thanks to the support of the Arab states. The latter want an internationally recognized organization that can represent the cause of the Palestinian people in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
