Briatore: “A great respect for those who live on 4,000 euros per month…”. The controversy breaks out, but there are those who want it in politics – The video

There are already those who say they are ready to vote for Flavio Briatore, after his speech on taxes and low wages, which went viral after his participation in the podcast 2046, guest of Fabio Rovazzi and Marco Mazzoli with the other entrepreneur Renzo Rosso. Briatore has relaunched these statements on his social networks. However, among the comments, there are those who accuse him of living far from reality. Especially when Briatore estimates how much the average income of an Italian family is: “How can you live on 4,000 euros a month?” Briatore asks himself in summary.

Speaking about the burden of taxes on the income of Italian workers, Briatore says: “I think that a family of four, with the husband earning 1,500 or 2,000 euros a month, and the wife earning maybe 1,500 but also 2,500 or 4,000… which is already important people, how do they manage to live?” Some dispute the figures, which the entrepreneur considers far too generous. Among the comments, there are also those who call for an increase in taxes, but for those like Briatore.

The entrepreneur, however, continues his speech by praising those who, in his opinion, still manage to support a family with what he considers unacceptable amounts of money: “In other words, I ask myself: do you pay the rent, do you need to go to the dentist or buy something… that is, these are the real miracles. That is, a lot of respect for these people here because it is the most difficult thing you can do. You support your children, your family, dress them well…”

According to Briatore, the solution would be to lower taxes first of all: “Wage increases are a good thing, but you can't pay the taxes that are imposed on you. They should lower taxes, raise them too, and spend the money well.” A sort of political manifesto. At least for some, who would appreciate it in politics: “We need a person like that to govern… The only entrepreneur who thinks with people in mind.”
