His name is Nicola Modica, but in art he is Metroman. Born in Grugliasco, province of Turin, but of Sicilian origin, he began singing in the trams of Turin in 2007 and then moved to the metros of Milan and Rome. Always accompanied by a backpack equipped with a speaker and a microphone, he tries to involve passengers by traveling through metros and city centers around the world. They often take him for a slightly crazy outsider, some smile, others react with anger. But his social media videos work. Last March 8, Metroman came to Naples to celebrate Women's Day in its own way. From there he can no longer leave. For days, its loudspeaker has been blaring in the metro, in the streets and in the squares of the city and the Neapolitans seem to appreciate it. Crowds of young people immediately form and sing along to the hits of the moment, but a few older people also join in to dance and sing.
