Several stickers, in colors reminiscent of the Palestinian flag, appeared on the shelves of certain supermarkets in Genoa. Launched by activists from the Non una di Meno Genova student collectives and the local BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) group, the action was claimed on social media with various hashtags, including #boycottisraele. The writing, affixed to packets of biscuits, tea, pasta and even crackers, says: “This product finances genocide”. According to activists, the famous supermarket chain supplies food to Israeli soldiers engaged in actions against the Gaza Strip.
