Sara Buratin stabbed to death at her home in the Padua region, search for her husband's car in the river: suicide hypothesis

A 41-year-old woman, Sara Buratin, was found dead at her home in Bovolenta, Padua province. There were various stab marks on the body. The murder reportedly took place today, February 27, late in the morning, at the home of the victim's mother. In fact, it was she who found her daughter lifeless in the house not far from the police station. The woman was the mother of a 12-year-old girl. Investigators are trying to find the victim's husband, who is currently unavailable. As reported by Corriere della Sera, a neighbor told investigators that he had seen and heard an argument between Buratin and her husband a few days earlier. The witness then said the woman's mother told him that her daughter was having problems with her husband.

The memory of the mayor

“She was a happy girl,” Bovolenta mayor Anna Pittarello told Repubblica. “I often saw her while playing sports or when she was walking with her daughter. The town is small, we only have 1,500 inhabitants, we all know each other.” Concerning the relationship with her husband, the mayor claims to have never received a report: “Never the slightest idea. But nothing is yet known, investigators will have to deepen their investigations. This is breathtaking news.”

The car in the river

The car of Buratin's husband, Alberto Pittarello, 39, ended up in the Bacchiglione River. Investigators identified tire tracks on the left bank of the river which led into the water. The firefighters explain that at the moment it has not yet been possible to recover the vehicle, pending the arrival of a special boat equipped with sonar to help divers locate the precise point. According to Gazzettino, the man committed suicide by throwing his van into the water.
