Marine Le Pen's promise: “We will no longer force kyiv to use French weapons to attack Russia”

The leader of France's far-right National Rally (RN) party, Marine Le Pen, has promised that a prime minister from her party would prevent kyiv from using long-range weapons supplied by France to strike Russia. A sharp change of course from President Emmanuel Macron's line. Le Pen also stressed that she would prevent French troops from being sent to Ukraine. “If Macron wants to send troops to Ukraine and the prime minister is against it, then no troops will be sent to Ukraine,” the leader said in an interview with CNN. “The final word rests with the prime minister,” he added. In the interview, Le Pen also said her only “red line” on Ukraine is to prevent France from becoming a “co-belligerent” in the conflict.
