The American group shared on their social networks a short 30-second teaser of the song, recorded with the late frontman Chester Bennington during the recording of the album “One More Light” in 2017. It is a real announcement, a surprise for Linkin Park fans, who have not yet been informed of the official release date of the new song. Friendly fire it was written with Jon Green, who collaborated with the group on the last album of unreleased songs in 2017. Mike Shinoda, one of the members of the group, had already revealed in the past the existence of songs recorded but never released . With over 100 million records sold worldwide, Linkin Park is one of the most commercially successful groups of the 2000s and 2010s.
