The first section of the Lazio Regional Administrative Court rejected the appeal presented by Italia Nostra Onlus which requested the annulment of the administrative documents approving the project of lot 2 of the “Sliding Center” (bobsleigh track) of Cortina d'Ampezzo. This was communicated by the Milano Cortina Infrastructure Company (Simico) following today's judgment. “For the TAR, which had already rejected two requests for suspension also put forward by the same environmental association, there is no perceptible violation of procedural guarantees, even less violation of environmental and landscape legislation. This is why the Work for the new bobsleigh track, luge and skeleton linked to the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games continues without interruption and in compliance with the established schedule. The new bobsleigh track is due to be ready by March 15, 2025 and status checks are expected over the coming months.
