Hawaii, tragic accident for Tamayo Perry: the surfer and actor of “Pirates of the Caribbean” attacked to death by a shark

Tamayo Perry, one of the world's most famous surfers, died at the age of 49 while surfing the waves of Goat Island, Hawaii. The surfer, who in 2011 also worked as an actor in the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Fountain of Youth, was the victim of a shark attack. The accident occurred on Sunday June 23 and was confirmed by emergency services in Honolulu, the capital of the American archipelago. According to what was reported in the local press, the surfer's body was found on a beach with a mutilated leg and arm. Kurt Lager, acting director of the Ocean Safety Authority, said Perry was “a lifeguard loved by all” and that “as much as people loved him, he loved everyone even more.”

Tamayo Perry, 49, was one of Hawaii's most beloved lifeguards. In 2011, he was called to join the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Fountain of Youth, the fourth film in the saga starring Johnny Depp as pirate captain Jack Sparrow. During his short film career, Perry also worked on television series such as Lost, Hawaii Five-O And Blue favorite, as well as in a Coca-Cola advertisement. Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi described Perry's death as “a tragic loss” and added, “Tamayo was a legendary and well-respected Marine who grew up here and was just a tremendous member of our team for the ocean security.”
