This morning, at dawn, around 6:30 a.m., the lifeless body of a 32-year-old man was found in Villafranca Padovana, a small town in the province of Padua with just over 10,000 inhabitants. A serious side wound was identified on the victim's body, probably caused by a knife. A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being the alleged murderer. A resident noticed the body of the 32-year-old man and immediately alerted the police. As the carabinieri arrived at the scene of the crime, the alleged attacker fled, but the noises woke up the dogs in neighboring houses. A police inspector who lives in the same neighborhood looked to see what was happening and saw a man trying to climb over a fence in an attempt to escape. He began following him, in coordination with 112. Shortly after, he spotted the suspected murderer who was half-hidden in a hedge, reached him and arrested him. The investigation, led by the Carabinieri, is currently underway to try to understand the exact dynamics of the facts and to determine the responsibilities and motivations of the suspect.
