An American student jumped from the Santa Trinita bridge into the Arno and was saved by a teacher and rowers. This happened today around 6 p.m., in the historic center of Florence, the images circulated on social networks from the Welcome to Florence page. The girl, aged 18, was in the Tuscan town on an educational trip with the school. According to what was reconstructed by the police, after sitting on the railing of the bridge, she voluntarily let herself go backwards and fell into the river. She was quickly rescued by the teacher who jumped into the water and by rowers. The young woman, transported to Santa Maria Nuova hospital, is not in danger of dying.
