Earthquake in Naples, strong shock of magnitude 3 in the Vesuvius region

A strong earthquake of magnitude 3 was felt today – Monday March 11 – at 7:08 p.m. – in the Vesuvius region. The epicenter – according to what is reported on the website of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology – is not in the Campi Flegrei area, which has been affected by a seismic swarm for months, but was on the slopes of the volcano, in a very populated area not far from Naples. The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 2.9 kilometers. Many people took to the streets, obstructing the Civil Protection and fire brigade panels. So far, no damage to people or things has been reported.
