She showed up in a wedding dress but her wedding day, the most beautiful, has not yet arrived. This is the story of Ziv Abud, who today took to the streets of Tel Aviv in what is now known as “Hostages Square“. Ziv walks, much to the astonishment of passers-by. She wore a yellow dress, rather than the traditional white one, to express solidarity with the more than 130 Israelis still held hostage in Gaza by Hamas. Among them, there is also her boyfriend, Eliya Cohen. “We planned to get married, but we have been separated for 168 days,” he told Israeli media. On the dress, the young woman applied chains, a broken heart and also images of several Israelis in the hands of Hamas. His initiative is making the rounds in local media, as a high-level Israeli delegation left today for Doha with the hope of beginning indirect negotiations with Hamas for the release of the hostages.
