Ukrainian forces struck and sank the Russian patrol boat Sergiy Kotov last night off the coast of Crimea. The action was allegedly carried out by kyiv military intelligence with Magura V5 marine drones. The Russian military ship, parked in the Kerch Strait, reportedly suffered serious damage on both sides of the stern and then sank. “There are dead and injured,” Ukrainian military intelligence spokesperson Andrii Yusov told Radio Free Europe, adding that the full assessment of the incident is, however, still in the evacuation phase. Russian authorities have not yet commented on the episode. According to Ukrainian media, which always cite the country's military intelligence, the value of the destroyed ship is around $65 million.
