An album and a live performance for the strange couple De Gregori-Zalone. While waiting for the unreleased “Right or false”

Francesco De Gregori and Checco Zalone celebrate their friendship with a double album and a live event. The work, which is scheduled for release on April 12, is entitled Pastiche. Fifteen titles, recorded live during various sessions between 2023 and 2024, which vary between covers of the prince of Italian song, great classics like Rimmel, Glass pieces, Atlantis And Good night darling; covers by authors such as Paolo Conte, Pino Daniele and Antonello Venditti; and songs written by Zalone himself, such as First Republicblockbuster soundtrack Where am I going?. A collaboration that might seem strange only to those who don't know the deep friendship that binds the two artists. Indeed, Luca Pasquale Medici (the name of the Apulian comedian) has made numerous appearances at the Roman singer-songwriter's concerts over the past ten years. Checco Zalone is an excellent pianist and composer, and music has been an integral part of his comedy from the beginning. “I have always been a fan of the film author Checco, we have been friends for many years and I was looking forward to having him by my side as a musician in this strange and beautiful adventure”, comments today By Gregori. An adventure which will begin with a single entitled True or falsewhich anticipates the release of the album, the only truly unreleased album Pastiche and signed jointly by both. Since yesterday, tickets for a concert at the Baths of Caracalla in Rome scheduled for June 5 have been on sale on TicketOne.
