The assessment that Iran could attack Israel in the coming days or weeks follows the back-to-back assassinations last week of Hezbollah military leader Fouad Shukr in Beirut and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. A preemptive attack

Israel's Advantage
According to the analysis from the security summit, Israel would have an advantage this time compared to the Iranian attack last April. An optimism, however, that is based on the prediction that the offensive could be of a similar scale to the previous one, when 99% of the approximately 300 missiles and drones launched by Iran were intercepted by Israel and its allies. If the attack were to be larger, the Israeli government believes that it will be able to put in place an adequate defense.
Russia's aid to Iran
Meanwhile, Russia has begun massively equipping Iran with new weapons, in preparation for a war against Israel, according to reports from some international media outlets and Israel's Channel 14. According to several reports, Moscow has deployed advanced electronic warfare systems in Iran, including those capable of damaging or disrupting military systems at a distance of up to 5,000 kilometers. Several military bloggers write that over the weekend, Russia landed Ilyushin transport planes carrying munitions and an Iskander, a ballistic missile used in the war with Ukraine, at Iranian airports.
