On Oscar night, the award for best animated film went to Studio Ghibli and director Hayao Miyazaki for The Boy and the Heron. In an interview with Japanese public broadcaster NHK, Toshio Suzuki, producer of the work, said he was “happy from the bottom of his heart”, although he thinks “it was just luck” .
