Born on August 1, 1933, Mazzenga currently holds five world records, nine European records and 28 best Italian performances in various Master Sprint categories.

“I'm very happy and satisfied, and also a little surprised because I didn't expect to go so fast,” Mazzenga said modestly after her record-breaking run on May 5 when she broke the previous record of 53.35 seconds set. by the Japanese Emiko Saito in 2022.
