A new service is about to arrive in March: a laundry service to wash and iron clothes but also blankets and sheets brought from home at super reduced prices, 50% lower and in some cases even more than those normally found on the market. The senior management of Rai, the general director Roberto Sergio and the general director Giampaolo Rossi have in fact launched a market study for the laundry service intended for employees of the public communications company and will select the offers received by February 29.

As Rai explains in a communication included in the financial section of its website, the idea of ​​offering the laundry service at low cost was included by the managers “as part of their corporate social actions”. The service manager who presents himself will be offered two premises on loan, one in the historic headquarters, viale Mazzini 14, where the famous horse symbol of Rai is located, and the other in Saxa Rubra, at Largo Villy De Luca 4. The service will be complete: collection of clothes, transport and return after washing, drying and ironing them. There will also be a sewing service to hem garments and repair faulty zippers. It is not about stage clothing for certain shows, which are already taken care of by certain specific internal services, but rather personal clothing and even duvets and comforters for the single or double bed in your house (even if the prices of these items are not affordable). reduced).

Maximum prices already lower than market prices but an additional discount will be necessary

The prices that Rai inserts are the maximums based on market studies, and therefore in all likelihood they will be further reduced by those who want to win the contract compared to the competition. But from the outset, they are clearly below the average for dry cleaners in the capital. A men's shirt will be ironed at a maximum price of 1.68 euros. If it also needs to be washed, the cost, including ironing, will be a maximum of 2.63 euros. A little extra for a washed and ironed women's shirt: 3.89 euros. For a maximum of 8.41 euros, a men's suit, jacket and trousers can be dry cleaned and ironed. For a vest the same service at 2 euros maximum. Any type of washed and ironed shirt with a maximum of 2.63 euros. Spending ceiling for a smooth, washed and ironed skirt: 3.15 euros. The manufacturing prices are higher, but the hem (7.67 euros) is not specified whether it is sewn by machine or by hand. By the end of February, it will be known whether the service has been awarded and with what reduction compared to these maximum prices included in the market study.
