Jasmine Paolini unstoppable, Andreeva beaten: first final at Roland-Garros for the Italian

Jasmine Paolini has qualified for the women's final at Roland Garros. The Italian, soon to be world number 10, beat the Russian Mirra Andreeva in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-1. To reach the title in Paris, Paolini will have to beat the world No. 1, the Polish Iga Swiatek, who won it in 2020, 2022 and 2023.

Ida Swiatek was the first to secure a place in the Paris Grand Slam final. The world number 1 beat the American Coco Gauff in straight sets (6-2 6-4). The Pole aims to win her fourth title at Roland Garros. Swiatek could become the first woman to win Roland Garros three years in a row, after Justine Henin achieved the feat before her in 2007.
