The Aare giant wins, Bassino fourth

An extraordinary Federica Brignone also won the giant slalom in Aare, Sweden, valid for the Alpine Skiing World Cup. With an incredible comeback in the second heat, the Italian champion finished with the best total time of 2'11″02, thus winning her 26th career victory in the World Cup. Second place for the Swede Sara Hector, leader of the first round with more than 1″ on Brignone, who finished 0.33 hundredths behind, third place for the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami at +0.40.
