Bayer Leverkusen beat Roma 2-0 in the Europa League semi-final first leg played at the “Olimpico” stadium in Rome. Xabi Alonso's side took the lead in the 28th minute thanks to a Wirtz goal resulting from a Karsdorp error on the edge of the penalty area. Andrich doubled the lead in the 73rd minute with an outside shot. Not much from Roma, dangerous at 0-0 with a crossbar hit by Lukaku and in the 94th minute with Abraham missing the 1-2 goal a few centimeters from the goal.
