Rebibbia inmates receive penis-shaped chocolate candies, former guarantor: “It’s retaliation”

For the former guardian of Rebibbia prisoners, Gabrielle Stramaccioni, it would be retaliation. The company that deals with food and survival, “Domenico Ventura” – underlines the Roman newspaper – is currently under investigation for fraud in public supplies. Investigations against the company began following reports from prisoners who worked in the prison canteen. In addition, after the testimonies, investigators from the monetary police unit of the financial police intervened and took samples from the food. Investigations revealed that many of the dishes served were different from those stipulated in the agreements. However, following complaints, the company reduced costs and improved the quality of food served. But now, for the former guarantor, what happened a few days ago is yet another anomaly noted. It is for this reason that Stramaccioni sent the prosecution a report incorporating previous reports on prison food.
