Omar Favaro, new accusations 23 years after Novi Ligure: towards a trial for rape and ill-treatment of his ex-wife

About 23 years have passed since the assassination in Novi Ligure, one of the most dramatic news pages. In 2001, Omar Favaro – with his girlfriend Erika Di Nardo – massacred his mother Susy Cassini and his brother Gianluca, 11, with 97 stab wounds. And now a new accusation weighs on Favaro, 41, released from prison in 2011. The Turin public prosecutor's office closed the investigation against him for “ill-treatment inflicted on his ex-wife and his daughter” 2019 to 2021. The accusations could give rise to a request for indictment, and therefore to a trial, for around twenty episodes ranging from repeated death threats. , to scar the ex's face with acid, or to reduce her to a wheelchair, beatings and physical, economic and psychological violence.
