Minister Abodi was only slightly spared from the Telecom stock market collapse. Tajani finds the shares, Roccella sells them. Casellati sells the houses she lives in

For a certain time, he was tempted to sell on the market all of the 732 thousand Telecom shares that he had revealed to have in his portfolio when he became Minister of Sports and Youth. But in the end, the minister Andrea Abodi he chose to sell only 55,000 Telecoms shares, while retaining 677,000 and selling the entire package of 12,000 Bpm shares that he owned before entering the government of Giorgia Meloni. Abodi therefore only saved these 55,000 shares from the Telecom stock market collapse last week. But even with these, he lost more than 50% of the investment initially made. “I bought them,” the minister explains to Open, “many years ago, paying 0.78 euros for the ordinary shares. Then I sold them and bought them back also in the savings category for the dividends they guaranteed, which were then eliminated.” A story that is not as happy as that of thousands of other ordinary savers who , for years, have considered Telecoms as a junk stock. The news on Abodi's savings comes from the new declaration of assets with all the changes that have occurred since his appointment, published by the ministers, vice-ministers and undersecretaries on the websites of the various ministries where they carry out their functions. Someone forgot to update their situation, the majority declare that they have not made any investment or divestment in securities or real estate over the last year. Rare are those like Abodi who report changes: some have reallocated their savings, others have invested in bricks, still others have simply bought or sold a vehicle.

The three latecomers who forgot their accommodation last year

Also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani in the new declaration of assets, he highlighted his share portfolio: he owns a thousand A2A shares, 175 Generali shares, 200 MFE Media RG-A and 200 MFE Media RG-B, then 2,630 Telecom shares, as well as 281,244 Arca America shares. and 2,010,212 Arca Bond emerging countries shares. The portfolio has only just emerged, because it was missing in the first declaration of assets, but it has not undergone changes since the start of the legislature. But the only news from Tajani is the sale of a 95 hp car from 2009. Even the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Galéazzo Bignami (FdI) in the new declaration revealed the ownership of an apartment in Bologna and a villa in Zocca (Mo) which had nevertheless been purchased before the elections, on July 11, 2022. Correction of an omission also for the minister of the culture, Gennaro Sangiulianowho in the new declaration highlighted the 50% ownership of a house in Petrella Salto (Ri).

La Roccella gets rid of Banca Generali and Unipol Sai

The Minister for Equal Opportunities and Families sold shares last year, Eugenie Roccella (FdI). He sold 2,000 Banca Generali, 5,000 ordinary A2A and 7,105 Unipol Sai which he owned at the time of taking the oath. It still has 5,000 A2a, 20,744 Intesa San Paolo, 6,500 ordinary Eni, 6,000 Webuild, 1,000 Ariston holding and 2,149 Azimut holding in its portfolio. The Minister of Reforms, Maria Elisabetta Casellati, sold 0.5% of the company Cavour srl of Padua, of which it retains 0.5%. The ownership of two apartments in Cortina di Ampezzo, two apartments in Rome and 50% of an apartment in Padua were also sold (probably to his children). However, it retains the usufruct of all.

Some move and some change cars

The Deputy Foreign Minister also moved, Edmondo Cirelli (FdI), which acquired 33.33% of an apartment in Rome. The Deputy Minister of Justice, Francesco Paolo Sisto (Fi) bought an apartment in Bari and three members of the government changed cars. The undersecretary of the Prime Minister in charge of publishing, Alberto Barachini (Fi), purchased a new 48-horsepower car in 2023. The Undersecretary of the Interior, Nicolas Molteni (Lega), sold its 75 hp Jeep Compass from 2018, replacing it with a 190 hp Alfa Romeo Stelvio 2.2 registered in 2019. Finally, the Undersecretary of Defense, Isabelle Rauti (FdI) sold its 2018 Audi Q2 (116 hp), keeping only the 2021 Vw T-cross (110 hp) already declared.
