Historic victory for the Italian rugby team in the Six Nations against Scotland, beaten 31-29 on the fourth day of the 2024 edition. The Azzurri had not beaten the Scots at the Olimpico for 11 years. The Azzurri had already beaten the Scots at Murrayfield nine years ago, while in 2012 there was the Azzurri's success against Scotland in Rome. Italy had not won in the Six Nations since 2013. The Azzurri therefore moved up seven points in the standings and are ahead of Wales by three points. Scotland's defeat dashed any hopes of the title, with leaders Ireland trailing by four points.
