Facebook, Messenger and Instagram are down. Many users are unable to access social platforms across browsers and apps. A blank white page appears, with no error message. The exact cause of the outage is unclear. “I can't access the profile, can I?”, “Facebook and Instagram are down and as usual I restart the Wi-Fi first and then I think my profile was hacked and finally I remember that Reports have multiplied in recent minutes. The number one of X, the former Twitter Elon Musk, quipped: “If you are reading this post it is because our servers are working”.

And it is precisely on X that Meta spokesperson Andy Stone intervenes to provide clarification. “We are aware that people have difficulty accessing our services. We are working on it at the moment,” they write from the company that manages Facebook and Instagram.
