Daniele De Rossi, from “Captain Future” to the Roma flag: the portrait

Daniele De Rossi has linked his entire sporting life to Roma, where he is the second player with the highest number of official appearances after Francesco Totti. With the Giallorossi, for whom he played from 2001 to 2019, he won two Italian Cups and an Italian Super Cup.

Captain Future's Beginnings
His debut came in the 2001-02 season, when he began to make some appearances in the first team. The first was European: against Anderlecht on 20 October 2001. That year also three participations in the Italian Cup. The debut in Serie A took place on 25 January 2003 in Como. Then first as a starter and first centre at home against Torino.
