Two-time world obstacle course champion Anouk Garnier set a new rope climbing record by climbing 110 meters to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower.

The 33-year-old French athlete's climb of the “Monumental 100” on a vertically suspended rope surpassed the previous all-time record of 90 meters held by South African Thomas Van Tonder.

“It’s crazy… I can’t believe what I just did, it’s crazy,” commented Garnier after the climb: “I imagined this moment so much, I worked so hard hard for a year that I can't believe it. “I can believe it really happened.”
