The original idea of consulting members online before making the most important choices has remained. However, there are other pillars that the 5 Star Movement is preparing to modify, precisely because of the topics it will address at the assembly, scheduled for late October and early November. The online vote by Grillini's supporters decided which 12 topics will be, among the 20 proposed, to move forward to the final phase of the constituent process. By a narrow margin, the possible removal of the two-term limit will be part of the discussions: the point “revision of the Code of Ethics for Candidatures and Alliances” came in eleventh place, with 7,322 votes, a hundred more than the thirteenth topic, which, on the contrary, is among the abandoned topics. The other chapter relating to the functioning of the 5 Star apparatus, the “revision of the Statute to discuss the roles of the President and the Guarantor, the name and symbol of the Movement and the reorganization of the territorial groups”, came in seventh place. : 7814 preferences so that a possible change can be addressed, for example, in the roles of the president, today Giuseppe Conte, and the guarantor, Beppe Grillo.
The point called “more voice for young people and active participation in the Movement” remains outside the debate. In total, 153,985 votes were cast, including members and non-members admitted to the consultation. The highest number of preferences was collected for the heading “reform of the national health system and individual protection”, 12,728. Next comes “Inclusive economic growth and decent work”, with 11,254 votes. Third place for the “contrast with tax evasion and business ethics”. A step off the podium for “the policy of peace and Europe”, with 10,655 supporters. The ranking is completed by “the centrality of the issue of justice in the political action of the Movement”, “the ecological transition and natural heritage for an integral ecology”, “free information and subsidies for culture”, “the reform of primary and secondary schools”, “reforms for a greater territorial balance of the country”, “university and scientific research”. The discussion tables of the second phase of the Constituent Assembly, in which 300 members and 30 non-members from the assembly will participate, will not discuss “infrastructure and the national transport network”, “the new model of social services and social assistance”, “digital transition and responsible use of AI”, “contrary to discrimination and gender violence”, “right to life”, “quality of life in urban centers” and, of course, how to give “more voice to young people and active participation in the Movement”.
Grillo's Counter-Constituent
Meanwhile, the founder of the 5 Star Movement Grillo continues to attack Conti's attitude towards the Constituent Assembly: “the Top” has collected over 20 thousand protest emails on its complaints board. “Great turnout for the launch of La Bacheca del Mugugno!
