A sinkhole opened up on a football pitch in London on Monday after heavy rain brought a month's worth of rain to parts of the UK in 24 hours.
The damage left the Cherry Red Records stadium unusable and AFC Wimbledon had to cancel their match against Newcastle United scheduled for Tuesday.
In London, bad weather led to road closures and the suspension of some train services. Between 60 and 80mm of rain fell in central and southern England.
