Train travel from Milan to Paris: winter offers

The spotlight is on the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Paris shines again in view of the upcoming autumn weekends and the upcoming Christmas holidays. Adding to the charm of the City of Lights is a series of events that will bring the city to life.

What to do in autumn in Paris

October, for example, is the month of contemporary art and the return of Art Basel Parisone of the most anticipated international events for enthusiasts and collectors.

From the Louvre to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, via the Musée d'Orsay and the Centre Pompidou, the list of exhibitions scheduled in the city's main museums is long. As well as fairs and festivals scattered throughout the city center districts and along the Seine.

However, sports fans will only be able to visit the reception point dedicated to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (at 101 quai Jacques Chirac, in the 15th arrondissement) which is hosting the immersive exhibition until December 31. Christmas in Paris

But the enchantment of Paris becomes even more intense during the Christmas period. The city's streets and neighborhoods, bridges and squares are illuminated with lights and come alive with stalls and street performers.

In addition to visiting the markets and strolling along the Champs-Elysées, you can take a night cruise on the Seine (even with dinner on board) or a bus tour of illuminated Paris, but also attend a show at the theater or a party in one of the city's churches.

How to get to Paris

Getting to Paris is even more convenient, while having a low environmental impact, on board a TGV INOUI high-speed train which connects Milan, Turin and Oulx to Paris.

Available now on the SNCF CONNECT website and app or in approved travel agencies, the tickets can be used from December 15 to March 30 and allow you to plan a vacation in the French capital at an affordable price and on advantageous terms.

The special offer valid until September 29 allows you to travel from October 1 to December 14 from Milan to Paris for €39 (second class tickets).

In addition, with the Advantage card, you can benefit from a 30% discount on first and second class fares throughout the year and a 60% discount for people with children aged 4 to 11.

Royal Pass at half price

The experience of those traveling on internal lines between Milan-Turin-Oulx, with second class tickets starting from € 10, becomes more advantageous thanks to the partnership concluded between SNCF Voyages Italia and Turismo Torino e Provincia, which allows all those who purchase a TGV INOUI train ticket for Turin, to benefit from a 50% discount on the purchase of the second Royal Pass.

The card allows free access to the circuit of the Savoy Royal Residences of Piedmont and reduced-rate access to the Egyptian Museum of Turin and the National Museum of Cinema of Turin. The offer is valid until 31 December 2024 and will be available only at the Turin Tourist Office, Piazza Castello or Piazza Palazzo di Città c/o Piu unified information point.

Traveling with children

TGV INOUI Italia offers special fares for families that can also be used by those who do not have an Advantage Card. Those traveling with children aged 4 to 11 can benefit from a 50% discount on the ticket, both for a one-way and a return trip. For children under 4, there is a €9 ticket or a free trip without an assigned seat.
