Sangiuliano show at the Marsilio meeting: “Abruzzo cannot return to the communists, enough left-wing caviar”

Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano raises the specter of communism in his speech at the final rally of Marco Marsilio, center-right candidate in the regional elections in Abruzzo. The government was present en masse in these last days of the electoral campaign, in the run-up to Sunday's vote. The narrow defeat in Sardinia has alerted the big names in the majority, who do not intend to lose new elections in a short time. Thus, after the participation of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni with Matteo Salvini and Antonio Tajani, the Minister of Culture also appeared in Abruzzo, closing the electoral campaign in L'Aquila. And from the stage, he attacked the Democratic Party and the opposition, defining them as far-left. “I am here among genuine people. As Minister of Culture, I am sometimes invited to the famous Roman terraces frequented by the anthropological guy that I am radical chic. But I immediately say no. Because I prefer to be here with you, and this is not the first time – Sangiuliano told the supporters of the sitting president – this region cannot go back, it cannot return to the swamp of the Democratic Party, it cannot return to the hands of the communists. I call them by their first and last name because they are still communists, even though the Berlin Wall has collapsed, they are deeply rooted in a harmful and illiberal ideology. Let's give things a name: they are communists. » The minister then claimed the attention that his department devotes to Abruzzo. “In these hours, the Democratic Party is complaining because 200 million investments for culture are active in this region,” he said, “it is complaining because I have allocated resources for the culture of this region, but who should I give these resources to? To their friends who make films with 14 spectators and earn millions of euros? There was a great waste, equal to that of the superbonus. Go read the credits and read 4 million: and where is this money going? They will fatten this director who will then organize this Roman terrace of the left caviarsaid with a soft R, and who say to themselves that they are the best, these people who despise us.” To decide who will be the president of Abruzzo between the outgoing Marsilio and the center-left candidate, the rector of Teramo Luciano D'Amico, polls will be open on Sunday, March 10 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
