Lots of sun and wind accompanied the first day of the regattas Youth Sailing World Championshipsthe World Sailing Youth Sailing Championships (the international federation) which will be held this year Lake Garda from July 13 to 19.
The ideal weather conditions allowed the day's programme to be fully completed, with almost everything taking place 30 regattas.
Excellent start for the Italian sailors, leading in four of the 6 classes present at the event: Federico Pilloni (iQFOiL male windsurfer), Carola Colasanto (iQFOiL female), Lisa Vucetti And Vittorio Bonifacio (420 mixes), Lorenzo Sirena And Alice Dessy (Nacra 15).
In the ILCA 6 class (women's singles), excellent third place for the Italian Maria Vittoria Arsenibehind the Greek Hermione Ghicas and the Ukrainian Alina Shapovalova.
They are present in the waters of Garda more than 400 athletes, from more than 70 nationswho participate in eleven sub-events divided into 6 classes: 29er, 420, ILCA6, Nacra15, Formula Kite and Youth iQFOiL.
Tuesday 16th, second day of regattas, the departures are scheduled from 1:00 p.m. and will be streamed on YouTube channels.
