Rome, a rottweiler bites a girl: “I had to grab him by the testicles to untie him”

A Rottweiler attacked and bit a 16-year-old girl on Sunday February 25 in the garden of a building on Via Buzzi, in the Laurentino district of Rome. The young girl was saved thanks to the intervention of her neighbors. But she was seriously injured in the leg. The girl was outside with her mixed race when she encountered a co-owner who had the Rottweiler on a leash. The dog broke free, knocked down the girl and attacked the mongrel. She got in his way and was attacked with a bite to the right calf. Only the intervention of his friend, also injured, stopped the dog. The girl was taken to Sant'Eugenio, where doctors sutured her wounds with 50 stitches. On the leg alone, there was a 20 centimeter lesion. Then the resignation, with a 60-day prognosis.

“It went better for me than her, I only have a few minor injuries. But I assure you it was really scary,” the boyfriend said. I will never forget a scene like this. There was blood everywhere. On her, on the dogs, on the ground…”, declared one of the witnesses. Who managed to detach the dog from the young woman: “It wasn't easy, but it had to be done. I couldn't let him kill her.” The method was hasty: “First I tried to push it away, but nothing. Then I started kicking the dog, but it wouldn't come out. I didn't. So I grabbed him by the balls and only then did he let go. So I pulled him away, put him in the lobby of the building and I called for help. I don't know how it would have ended if I hadn't been able to take the dog away. I don't even want to think about it.” The rottweiler was taken to a kennel. Police opened an investigation.
