Voluntary homicides

Over the four-year period 2020-2023, they recorded an increase of 15%: they went from 287 to 329. Women victims last year, there were 119, a stable number compared to 4 years earlier (in 2022, there were 326 in total, including 128 women). In 2021 there were 309 and the previous year 287.

With regard to homicides where the victims are women, the overall figure remains almost unchanged, while those committed in the family/emotional context record a decrease of 5%; Furthermore, for women killed at the hands of their spouse or ex-spouse, this reduction amounts to 9%.

Cybercriminality

The Operations Room of the National Center for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures against Cybercrime (CNAIPIC) managed, at the national level, 632 attacks against the computer systems of national structures of strategic importance, 79 requests for cooperation within the framework of the Emergency against high-tech crime. circuit and launched 96 investigations and investigated 98 people. Prevention activity was characterized by the issuance of 77,012 alerts. Through the NOSCs (Cybernetic Security Operational Units), at the level of the Specialty's territorial branches, the CNAIPIC coordinated the management of 11,469 attacks against critical infrastructures, operators of essential services, individuals and businesses and investigated 126 people.

In the domain of cyber terrorism (religious and political extremism, antagonistic zone) 51 people were investigated. During Internet monitoring, 182,209 web spaces were accessed and in 2,037 cases illegal content was detected; while 2,700 resources were reserved for information and investigative activities.

Immigration

In 2023, they arrive in Italy, via the different Mediterranean routes, 157,651 irregular migrants following 3,592 disembarkation events. Irregular migratory pressure by sea, constantly decreasing from 2017 to 2019, reversed the trend from 2021 to 2023, recording a significant increase.

The maximum peak of arrivals in 2023 occurred in August with 25,673 migrants (an average of 828.16 landed per day). External extremism and terrorism
