A man tried to run over his ex-partner by throwing the car at full speed onto the pedestrian avenue of Novi Ligure, in the province of Alexandria. The fifty-year-old, of Albanian origin, as reported by Corriere della Sera, did not accept the end of the relationship. The action was filmed by a surveillance camera and acquired by the police. While the 41-year-old woman was on the ground asking for help after the attempted runover, the man got out of the car and began ramming her. A retired police sergeant, aged 71, arrested him. The woman had left her partner a week ago. But after a few days of separation, the man showed up at her house and asked her to get into the car. When the woman refused, he followed her by car onto the main road and tried to run her over. He is now under arrest for attempted murder.
