New damage to the grave of Michele Merlo, theft and insult to the author of the book dedicated to the singer

On two occasions, vandals targeted the grave of Michele Merlo, the singer from Vicenza known for his participation in . Already in the past, objects left on the singer's grave had been stolen from the Rosà cemetery, in the Vicenza region. This time it was the turn of the book dedicated to Merlo “With the heart between the lines” by Alice Porta, his friend and fan. In place of the book, an insult addressed to the author of the book was left with the writing: “AP Shame on you.” This gesture seems to insinuate that the thirty-year-old author is exploiting Merlo's popularity for his work. A gesture considered unmotivated by fans, given that the book had been approved by the Merlo family.

Profits from sales of the book are donated to the activities of the Romantico Ribelle association, an organization born in memory of the singer and chaired by his parents. “What happened today at Michi’s grave is shameful – write those responsible for the association on social networks – This is not the first time that the objects located there have been stolen or damaged , but removing Alice Porta's book and leaving it in its place is an insult to her, it is something we cannot accept. Alice's book is a book that is close to our hearts, that we “approved” and that we ardently wanted to continue to keep Michele's memory alive. If someone thinks Alice should be ashamed of this, that means they think we should all be ashamed. If anyone who has allowed themselves to commit such a despicable act frequents this page, please do not do it again.”
