At the head, the banners: “With the Palestinian resistance we stop the colonial and imperialist wars”, “Stop the genocide, stop the war government”. Actions against Carrefour and the police

During the demonstration, which was also attended by delegations from Potere al Popolo, Rifondazione Comunista and third sector associations, slogans were sounded: “Free Palestine, criminal Israel”. Around ten participants in the procession, dressed in black and with their faces covered, broke away from the crowd and damaged the window of a Carrefour supermarket in Piazzale Clotilde, also smearing it with graffiti. The French supermarket chain is accused by the most vocal anti-Israel activists of supporting the Jewish state and therefore deserves a boycott. The hooded men, after separating from the peaceful mass, also threw some stones, also hitting a local police car and two financial police officers. A local police officer was hit in the head and slightly injured: she was transported to the nearby Fatebenefratelli hospital, at 118 in green code. Other protesters threw eggs at police in riot gear who blocked them from moving toward the U.S. consulate.
