However, by order of the court, the singer had to stop in court to admit his mistake and raise awareness: “Even one drink is too much. Don't drink and drive.” » The singer will also have to pay a $500 fine and have his license suspended for 90 days in New York State. The sentence was agreed to by the defense and the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Had Timberlake not pleaded guilty, the sentence could have been as high as one year in prison and a $2,500 fine.
