Jannik Sinner beats the Hungarian Marozsan and flies to the quarter-finals on the lawn of Halle

The “green” season is in full swing. World number 1 Jannik Sinner chose Halle to familiarize himself with the same surface as Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the year, which begins on July 1. The South Tyrolean, after beating Tallon Griekspoor, won today – June 20 – the round of 16 against the Hungarian Fabian Marozsan. The match ended with a score of 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-3. It was the first match between Sinner and the number 45 ranked player on the circuit.

Now, Sinner will have to challenge the winner of the match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jan-Lennard Struff in the quarter-finals. In the German ATP 500 tournament, Sinner is also entered in the doubles table: he plays in a duo with the Pole Hubert Hurkacz and the objective is to gain as much confidence as possible with the grass, before flying to the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
