Irish Week: Irish Week events in Milan

A truly green week. In all directions. This third edition of Irish weekwhich regains its color Milan Emerald green. From March 10 to 17 the best of the island settles in Italy (for the first time too Rome will be involved in the celebrations organized by the Irish Embassy): music and dance, food, films and landscapes featured in photographic exhibitions and travel conferences.

A major event that culminates on the day of St. Patrick's Day, March 17. Celebrate by sipping a pint of Guinness and showing off the shamrock. It is now a tradition, even in Italy. There are more than 50 events (almost all free) in various locations around the city and more than 40 restaurants that will participate with a stylish menu. Irish.

The heart of the celebrations and the headquarters of the event will be Open Milan but also the very central one Rue Dante will be flooded with greenery, with the outdoor photographic exhibition Ireland on the road. We start with the open day Discover Ireland, on March 10, which opens the week: free access from morning to evening (11:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.) to Open, where you can discover Ireland between stands, music and photos. Selected tour operators will be in attendance and there will be travel talks with experts and plenty of travel deals and discounts available only to those booking a stay during Ireland Week. L'Hard Rock Cafe will host a Cranberries tribute concert on Tuesday March 12 and, on Thursday March 14, a U2 tribute concert.

There are more than 40 restaurants involved throughout Italy who, on the occasion of Ireland Week, will offer tasting courses of the island's culinary excellence, in collaboration with the Italian headquarters of Bord Bia – Irish Food Board. Irish Film Festival at Cinema Anteo

A green week: plogging and sustainability
