Former Inter footballer Andreas Brehme has died at the age of 63.

He was one of the protagonists of Inter's record-breaking run of the late 1980s, making 154 appearances and scoring 12 goals. With the Nerazzurri, in addition to the Scudetto in 1989, he also won a UEFA Cup and an Italian Super Cup. Very bad news comes from Germany: according to the newspaper Bild, Andreas Brehme, a former German full-back who also played for Bayern Munich during his career, has died at the age of 63. Also protagonist of the German national team with which he won the Italia 90 World Cup, scoring the decisive penalty in the final against Argentina.

According to the first reconstructions, the former footballer died in Monaco, where he lived, during the night from Monday to Tuesday following a cardiac arrest. Transport to the nearby clinic on Ziemssenstraße was unnecessary.
