European millennials: what are the most popular destinations in 2024
WeRoad is present in Italy and in France, In Spain, Germany And Britain. In each of the countries in which it operates, it has conducted its latest survey which reveals which destinations are preferred by millennial travelers, or generation Y, which includes those born between the early 1980s and the mid-1990s or early from the 2000s.
After analyzing their choices and the reservations made in each country between February 1 and the pre-summer period, based on the data collected, he identified what are the main travel trends for the first half of 2024.
It turns out that while Millennials from Italy, France, Spain and Germany favor long-haul trips, Italy stands out among the favorite destinations of the English.
Italians and Spaniards, in particular, place among other destinations the Morocco First of all; the French are betting everything onIceland; the Germans, on the other hand, move mainly towards the UNITED STATES.

Millennials like to travel in groups
The investigation starts from the evaluation of two key elements.
The first concerns the organized tourism – or even group travel – a phenomenon which is experiencing a strong recovery. As reported byTravel Innovation Observatory from the School of Management of the Polytechnic of Milan, compared to 2022, the sector recorded a strong rebound, with values returning in line with those before the pandemic: the tour operator grows by 40%, while that of travel agencies by 26%.
The second element is indeed the focus on Millennials, a generation of travelers driven by the desire to explore remote lands and live authentic and culturally enriching experiences. It's even better in a group, with other people of the same age with whom to make friends and share moments of life.

Where will Italian Millennials travel?
The analysis carried out by WeRoad reveals that Italian Millennials seem fascinated by the exotic, with the Morocco at the top of the list of favorite destinations.
Among the most attractive elements, the possibility of exploring ancient cities, desert oases and dream beaches between the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
Morocco follows in the ranking ThailandTHE UNITED STATES and the Japandemonstrating the Italian predilection for long-haul destinations.

What are the favorite destinations of Spanish Millennials
Spanish Millennials also choose Morocco, which seems to be at the top of travel preferences before Sri Lanka And Thailand.
